Now, big social changes are happening through pandemic around the world. In these changes, an important thing is that human’s original needs and natures are not changed. Typically, they have to eat something, meet someone for love, and do economic activities. Even though they are going through pandemic or lock-down, they must solve those basic needs. This being so, to solve those problems, 4th industrial revolution and digitalization are being accelerated.

Social Dating App and Changing Society After Pandemic
NOW
Social dating app market is growing fast with Tinder by MatchGroup. As I mentioned, most people has basic needs, such as date and love. As it is hard that they meet someone and do some activities with them, those demands are moved into online market, especially, social dating app. This situation make social dating app’s traffic more increasing.

In the case of Tinder, they are making special event to match foreign friends for free. It is called ‘PASSPORT’ service, and it is originally paid service. Also, they said that conversation length increased by 30 percent. Another social dating app, Inner Circle, reported that volume of messages increased by 110 percent, compared to before pandemic. In addition, Hinge, one of typical social dating apps, launched streaming(video) dating service for efficient and effective communication.
Dating.com reported that a number of online date increased by 82 percent, in March, 2020. Especially, a key point of this change is that new comers are more than re-visitors.

Implication
Due to pandemic and lock-down, size of online market has been sharply increasing in the world. However, most of them are the service which most people frequently use, such as shopping app and mobile game. Nonetheless, it is important that a lot of new creative services is coming and growing fast with them. Also, through those changes, the public’s modes of thought about dating or love are changing. In other words, natural things which we have known or believed in are being changed.
Closing
Basically, ways or thoughts which we have known or believed in are sharply changing with pandemic. I think that social dating app is one of effective tools to efficiently describe those changes. I expect that a lot of things in our society will be changed after pandemic. We are on the center of big change. To adapt our future well, I think that we should try to actively accept or monitor new things.
