Most companies have reviewed a lot of solutions and packages for chatbot introduction in their business. So do latecomer. Like this, most firms have introduced their chatbot by its solution. They thought that purchasing, introducing, and utilizing its solution is like the answer. Obviously, a solution has positive factors. However, because its negative factors are also obvious, it is essential to review about which ways are business well-matched before chatbot introduction.

The certain thing I want to say is that only reviewing and introducing chatbot solution is not the answer. Therefore, through this article, I will review and share key points to decide a way for chatbot introduction, and some personal opinions.

A.I VS Non-A.I

Before ready for chatbot introduction, you should decide whether chatbot will be developed with A.I or not. If a company does not have a plan about A.I due to some reasons, introducing chatbot by its solution will be recommended.

However, if considering A.I of your chatbot as a long-term strategy for the business, introducing chatbot solution should be not the first. First of all, you should decide whether utilizing chatbot solution or not after reviewing that which services will be applied to your business. If your business need many services based on scenario, introducing chatbot by its solution will be better. However, if your business want advanced services such as natural conversation and A.I call center, utilizing chatbot solution will be not the best.

Service Standardization

Also, you need to review how many services on your business are standardized. Mostly, it is hard to customize solutions by business characteristics. This being so, you should decide whether introducing chatbot solution or not, by considering a level of service standardization. If its level is higher, introducing chatbot solution will be more efficient and effective.

Gathering Data (Unstructured)

This is important. If having a difficulty to gather data from the customer (especially, unstructured data), the business won’t be able to introduce A.I chatbot even though they want it. Rather, in this case, they may need to introduce its solution, and then should gather data from it. This is because A.I need sufficient data for machine learning and deep learning.

Detailed Business Requirement and Development Capability

If you decide to introduce chatbot solution, there won’t be related problems. However, if you decide to introduce your chatbot by self-development, you should need to review that the company has many developers being able to develop A.I and chatbot. In the case of chatbot, the existing developers will be able to develop it. However, in the case of A.I, it will be hard to find optimized developer because their value is high in the market, and hard to find them. Also, if possible, you will have a challenge to maintain them.

Even though self-development of A.I chatbot has some challenges, it will be ideal chatbot if continuously operating it with people having high understanding of business.
